PP - Polypropylene
PP is superior to PE HD in terms of mechanical properties. Therefore, it has high chemical resistance just like the PE family. It has high mechanical strength compared to PE HD, but its notched impact resistance is relatively lower.
FEATURES
Chemical: high chemical resistance
Tensile strength: Tensile strength is higher compared to polyolefins. It is light due to low density.
It can be easily machined and welded.
It is well stable under the influence of temperature.
Color: Grey RAL 7032 and natural
Weak point:
Compared to technical plastics, it has lower mechanical and temperature properties, but is better than PE HD in terms of mechanics such as tensile stress, bending and compressive strength.
APPLICATION
Chemical : The wide application area for PP is the chemical sector. It has higher chemical resistance than PVC, even at high temperatures. Areas of use; chemical components, valves, flanges, gears, galvanic and petrochemical industries, etc.
Food contact : Complies with FDA.
Electricity : Dielectric properties are good. Adapts to outdoor conditions.
Mechanical : Used for mechanical components in corrosive environments. It has a higher tensile strength than PE HMW 500.
Heat Resistance of Acid Resistant Material
This chart shows the temperature resistance of technical plastic materials in acidic environments.
